A practical guide

Start with the process
Map the current steps, inputs, owners and exceptions. Look for repetitive work where the cost of a mistake is manageable and a human can review the result.
Define success before building
Choose a baseline such as time per task or review effort. Use representative examples, including edge cases, to decide whether the proposed automation improves the process.
Keep a human in the loop
Require approval before actions such as sending customer messages or changing important records. Make errors visible and keep a manual fallback.
Roll out gradually
Begin with a small scope. Monitor failures, review output quality and expand only when the evidence supports it.
